Kevin KloseOn March 1, 1953, Radio Liberty (then called Radio Liberation) began broadcasting in Russian to the Soviet Union. On the 60th anniversary of that first broadcast, RFE/RL Acting President Kevin Klose offered a message to the Russian Service, saying it remains an important source of accurate, independent news.
