We have started a discussion of Senator Brownback’s public diplomacy bill that would abolish the Broadcasting Board of Governors and the position of the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy.  Both, the BBG and its most recent chairman, James Glassman, who is now the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy, voted to stop the Voice of America from broadcasting radio to Russia, Georgia, and Ukraine.
