Democracy Digest from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED): A delegation led by former Czech President Václav Havel today tried to submit a petition demanding the fair trial and release of dissident Chinese writer and activist Liu Xiaobo, who was sentenced to 11 years in jail on December 25, 2009 for “inciting subversion of state power”.
